Job summary

Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking a Recreation Leader to support resident well-being through therapeutic recreation activities. The role focuses on planning, implementing, and evaluating group and individual recreation interventions in a patient-centered environment.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s in Therapeutic Recreation or related field, with CTRS preferred but not required, and have 3–5 years of experience in therapeutic recreation, ideally in long-term

Qualifications

• College / Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field required.
• Proficient in documentation, including assessments, progress notes, and care plans.
• Strong and approachable personality with excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate individual and group recreation therapy interventions.
• Create individualized care plan goals and appropriate intervention.
• Diligently document assessments, progress notes, and care plans to support resident care.

POSITION: Recreation Leader

SHIFT:

11:00am to 7:00pm

SCHEDULE:

Sunday to Thursday

REQUIREMENTS:

• College / Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field required
• CTRS certification preferred but not required
• 3-5 years of experience in Therapeutic Recreation, preferably in a long-term care setting
• Ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate individual and group recreation therapy interventions
• Proficient in documentation, including assessments, progress notes, and care plans
• Must be able to create individualized care plan goals and appropriate intervention
