Job summary

Marriott International via Le Méridien is seeking a Recreation Attendant to create engaging activity schedules, manage guest participation, and maintain safe, welcoming recreational spaces at our Florida location.

You will support staff development, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and assist guests with diverse needs while delivering exceptional service in a premium hotel environment.

Qualifications

• CPR Certification required.
• First Aid Certification required.
• Recreation and Fitness Equipment familiarity.
• Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.

Responsibilities

• Create recreational activity agendas and advertisements using publishing software.
• Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and inform manager of low supply items.
• Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities.
• Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities.
• Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility for safety and welfare of guests.
• Observe activity and respond per SOP in emergencies.
• Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow company policies; maintain clean, professional appearance; protect assets.
• Assist guests with disabilities and address service needs.
• Process orders or transactions and collect payments as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards; suggest ways to improve quality.
• Read and verify information in formats; visually inspect tools and equipment.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and POS systems.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; move items up to 25 lbs unaided or up to 50 lbs with assistance.

Education

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
