Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Child Development, Education, Human or Social Services.
• Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests.
• Knowledge of case management processes and evaluation of services.
• Experience managing staff in recreational or social services environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to the recreation team.
• Manage staffing schedule to ensure proper coverage of activity center.
• Provide day-to-day operational oversight for the activity center.
• Organize group and individual recreation programs according to the shelter and participant's plan of care.
• Develop community partners to gain greater community support and volunteers.
• Schedule events, programs, activities, and volunteer groups for recreation activities.
• Develop, design, or create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products.
• Monitor information from materials and events to assess problems and solve them.
