Job summary

City of Murfreesboro is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to plan, implement, coordinate, and monitor daily operations, programs, and special events within the Recreation Department facilities. The role requires leadership in programming areas and interaction with patrons for a positive experience.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation or related field, at least two years of facility programming or recreation management experience, and a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
• Experience in facility programming or recreation management preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and CPR/AED certifications within six months.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operation of the recreation facility and programs.
• Coordinate staffing, schedules and assignments for staff.
• Deliver excellent customer service and provide information on activities and services.
• Assist with budget preparation, order supplies, and maintain records and reports.
• Ensure safety and compliance with rules and procedures; respond to emergencies.
• Operate facility management software for registrations, admissions, and deposits.
