Job summary

The Municipality of Anchorage, Parks and Recreation, is seeking a facility lead for Eagle River/Chugiak parks operations. You will be the primary front desk representative, delivering exceptional customer service and supporting rentals, programming, and safety.

You will work Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends, with potential telecommuting after probation at management discretion. A valid Alaska driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• and three (3) years of experience in facilitation of a recreational program.
• Associates degree in Physical Education, Recreational Sports, or a related discipline, and one (1) year of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Recreational Sports, or a related discipline, and experience in facilitation of a recreational program.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a facility lead for daily operations and programming.
• Front desk representative providing exceptional customer service and assisting with rentals and permits.
• Assist with planning and delivering public events and recreation programs.
• Support the Senior Administrative Officer with financial and administrative records, cash management, and accounts payable.
