Job summary

The City of San Leandro is seeking a Facility Attendant to support the Reservations Team. You will prepare public facilities for events, ensure spaces are welcoming, safe, and ready, and deliver exceptional customer service to renters and participants.

You will take ownership of setup tasks, monitor space usage, coordinate repairs, and maintain event documentation while supporting a positive community experience at birthdays, family celebrations, and community activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year in municipal recreation programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the overall safety, health and welfare of participants; supervises facility site(s) and prepares incident and accident reports.
• Follows safety rules and protocols; identifies and corrects safety hazards and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Performs duties under the city's disaster response plan.
• Janitorial tasks and duties.
• Coordinates and communicates requests for facility repairs.
• Monitors use of program/event spaces by renters and providers.
• Prepares documentation related to activities and departmental requirements.
• Maintains positive relationships with participants, parents and community partners; provides customer service.
