Job summary

The Waukegan Park District is seeking a part-time Recreation Facility Attendant to oversee operations, assist with programs, and supervise rental groups at the facility. You will ensure safety, handle admissions, and support event setup and cleanup with punctual and reliable service.

Requires high school graduation (preferred) and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; driving and basic math skills are used daily.

Qualifications

• High school graduation preferred.
• Part-time or seasonal recreation experience preferred.

• Evenings, weekends, and holidays work as assigned.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist with facility operations, programs and events.
• Open/close facility and set up/take down of tables, chairs, and equipment.
• Supervise rental groups and ensure patron safety.
• Handle admissions and parking payments; balance cash at end of day.
• Prepare daily reports and maintain cleanliness and supplies.
