Job summary

Community Housing Innovations (CHI) is seeking a full-time Recreation Child Care Supervisor for our Smithtown location in NY. You will oversee recreational, educational, and day care services for the family shelter, and develop new curriculum plans for children.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating educational activities, and liaising with schools and community resources. Education: Bachelor's degree in Education/Human Relations preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education/Human Relations preferred.
• Experience in education, especially with children, required.
• Knowledge of community resources helpful.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Recreation/Education Specialists and/or Child Care Workers.
• Conduct regular meetings and track performance goals in Paycom.
• Plan, implement, and coordinate educational needs.
• Assist with school enrollment and summer programs.
• Develop programs to enhance academic performance such as tutoring.
• Coordinate activities and trips for children and families.
• Assist adults with vocational/employment goals.
• Coordinate facility activities and after-school programs.
• Solicit donations and liaise with schools and community resources.
• Provide transportation as needed.
• Track program expenses and report accordingly.
