Job summary

City of Greeley Culture, Parks & Recreation seeks a Recreation Supervisor to oversee the Family FunPlex and Recreation Center, supervising multiple staff including Recreation Coordinators and up to 180 part-time employees. You will manage risk practices, training, and customer service, while ensuring quality operations and community engagement.

The role requires a four-year degree and 2–4 years of supervisory experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a four-year college/university program or equivalent technical training.
2-4 years’ supervisory or management experience.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

Personnel Management – hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff; conduct regular team meetings.
Facility and Risk Management – oversee operations, safety compliance, scheduling and maintenance.
Fiscal Management – develop budgets and oversee payroll and expenditures.
Membership/Customer Relations – manage memberships and daily admissions and customer service.
Technology/Assessment – use software for reporting and surveys; support digital marketing.
Program Management – collaborate on marketing, websites and program development.
Communication – coordinate with partners, vendors and community groups.
Problem solving and decision-making – resolve conflicts within policies and standards.
