Job summary

The City of Laramie is seeking a Recreation Customer Operations Leader for the Laramie Community Recreation Center. This part-time, non-benefitted supervisory role oversees front desk and facility operations and ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment across shifts.

Qualifications

• Leadership ability to guide and motivate staff.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of facility cleaning methods and light equipment use.
• Willingness to supervise deep-cleaning in high-use areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service in-person and over the phone.
• Provide supervisory support to part-time staff, including training and on-shift leadership.
• Open and close the facility, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for public use.
• Perform and inspect daily cleaning tasks in restrooms, locker rooms, fitness spaces, and public areas.
• Delegate and follow up on cleaning assignments to maintain high standards.
• Coordinate setup/teardown for programs, rentals, and events.
• Support front desk operations using recreation management software for registrations and inquiries.
• Monitor patron behavior, uphold safety protocols, and enforce facility rules.
