Job summary

Denver Parks and Recreation is seeking a Recreation Manager to lead operations across multiple recreation centers and Outdoor Adventure programs. You will supervise staff, partner with contractors, and implement DPR policies to deliver high‑quality community services.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of management experience in recreation or public services, with strong budgeting and program oversight skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: Three (3) years in management/supervisory role in recreation or public services.
• Certifications: Valid Driver’s License; CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations for up to four recreation centers and related programs.
• Implement policies and procedures aligned with DPR strategies.
• Develop weekly, monthly, and annual work plans and adjust staffing as needed.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate recreation staff and contract service providers.
• Coordinate with city agencies and community partners to expand programs and outreach.
