Job summary

City and County of Denver’s Parks and Recreation Department seeks a Recreation Manager to oversee up to four recreation centers and associated programs. You will manage staff, operations, and contract work to deliver high-quality services to residents and visitors.

The role includes stewardship of the My Outdoor Colorado coalition and the Great Outdoors Colorado grant, budget oversight, and collaboration with internal teams to advance the Outdoor Adventure vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Three years of management experience at the level described.
• Valid Driver’s License + CPR and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee up to four recreation centers, Adventure Hubs, and Outdoor Adventure programs.
• Lead staff development, performance planning, and succession planning.
• Manage My Outdoor Colorado coalition work and Great Outdoors Colorado grant contracts.
• Coordinate with other city agencies and community partners to expand program reach.
