Recreation Attendant (Seasonal) - Hotel del Coronado, A Curio Collection by Hilton (Finance)

The iconic Hotel del Coronado is seeking a Recreation Attendant to join our team. Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world. After a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island, just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888. It features over 750 rooms (including cottages and villas), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets, including 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

Classification: Seasonal

Shift: Various - must be available to work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour, based on experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As a Recreation Attendant, you will ensure a clean, safe, and fun environment at the pool, fitness center, Roast, and other recreational areas. Responsibilities include:

1. Checking out and distributing towels and wristbands.
2. Renting beach equipment, setting up, breaking down, and cleaning cabanas, chairs, umbrellas, and towels.
3. Answering phones, making and taking reservations, stocking retail items, towels, wristbands, and paperwork, and selling retail.
4. Using cash registers, computers, and accurately completing paperwork. Gaining in-depth knowledge of Recreation Department programs, activities, and events.
5. Delivering high-quality customer service.
6. Monitoring pool areas to ensure exclusive access for hotel guests and members, and performing basic maintenance and clean-up of recreation areas, including pools, beaches, locker rooms, and restrooms.
7. Assisting with setup, facilitation, and breakdown of group recreation events and kids' camp programs if needed.
