The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for seasonal Serversto join the team! Joinone of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a$400M renovationand expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

• Classification: Full-Time, Seasonal through early September (hours and number of shifts dependent on seniority schedule and business needs)
• Shift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays; union role, open availability for Mid/PM shifts, 9am earliest start time and 12am latest end time
• Pay Rate: $16.50 plus tips
• The ideal candidate will possess the following: open availability with no weekly schedule restrictions; at least 1 year of fine dining serving experience; strong cocktail and wine knowledge, and a genuine spirit to provide exceptional service to our guests

What will I be doing?

As a Food Server, you would be responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• • Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials
  • Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
  • Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
  • Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness. Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times.
