Job summary

OTO Development is seeking a friendly Recreation Attendant for Cabana & Beach Services in Florida. You will deliver exceptional guest experiences across pool and beach areas, assist with cabana rentals, and help maximize revenue while maintaining safety and brand standards.

The role involves setup and upkeep of cabanas and equipment, upselling rentals, and coordinating with resort teams to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service, hospitality, or recreational experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-focused mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
• Basic math and cash handling skills preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and proactive service to guests utilizing pool, beach, and recreational areas.
• Greet guests, answer questions, and provide information on amenities, rentals, and daily activities.
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized service to enhance the overall resort experience.
• Set up, maintain, and reset cabanas, loungers, umbrellas, and other beach or pool equipment to brand standards.
• Support cabana and equipment rental operations, including assisting guests with reservations, check-in, and service throughout their stay.
• Identify and execute upselling opportunities to maximize cabana, lounger, and recreational revenue.
• Monitor recreational areas to ensure compliance with safety rules and resort policies.
• Report safety concerns, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly to leadership.
• Support a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all recreational areas, including pool deck, beach spaces, and equipment storage areas.
• Clean, organize, and properly store equipment throughout the day.
• Ensure all areas consistently meet resort appearance and brand standards.
• Process guest transactions related to rentals, amenities, and services accurately.
• Maintain inventory of recreational equipment and supplies.
• Support daily operational tracking, including usage, rentals, and revenue capture.
• Work collaboratively with Recreation, Food & Beverage, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless guest service.
• Support special events, group activities, and high-volume periods as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the resort with a high level of hospitality.

Position Summary

The Recreation Attendant (Cabana & Beach Services) is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience across pool and beach areas while supporting revenue-generating activities such as cabana and equipment rentals.

This role ensures all recreational spaces are safe, clean, and well-maintained, while providing attentive, personalized service to guests. The Recreation Attendant plays a key role in enhancing guest satisfaction and maximizing revenue opportunities within the resort’s outdoor amenities.

What will you be doing most days?

Guest Experience & Service

• Provide friendly, attentive, and proactive service to guests utilizing pool, beach, and recreational areas.

Physical Requirements For This Position

You must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry equipment for extended periods of time. You must have the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and sun exposure. You must also have the ability to lift and move beach and pool equipment regularly.
