Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is hiring at Palisades Tahoe in California for a role maintaining and operating winter activity setups (tube park, ice rink, mini snowmobiles). You will welcome guests, ensure safety, set up equipment, handle payments, and keep the site clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Base hourly pay range is published; actual pay may vary.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as Zamboni, holder, skid-steer and forklift is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
• Greet all guests and answers questions about Palisades Tahoe activities and equipment.
• Assist in setting up activity equipment and ensure guests know the rules.
• Conduct safety training and assist guests with operation safety procedures.
• Rent equipment, process payments and close out at end of day.
• Maintain the activity area, clean and remove trash; snow removal as needed.
• May operate heavy equipment to remove snow and clear the Ice Skating Rink.

Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Ensure facility maintains a clean and professional appearance.* Assists with the cleaning, repair, inspection and maintenance of the activity equipment.* May operate heavy equipment such as Zamboni, holder, skid-steer and forklift in order to remove snow and clear Ice Skating Rink.**Competencies and Job Requirements:**Required:* Effective communication skills, oral & written* Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness* Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.* Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards* Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time* Work well as part of a team.Preferred:* Knowledgeable about all aspects of Palisades Tahoe or be able to locate information.
