Job summary

Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC is seeking a dedicated facilities maintenance worker to perform maintenance, repairs, and sanitation across base area and facilities. Applicants must be 18+ and able to work hourly shifts in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities include snow removal, light electrical/plumbing tasks, cleaning, and coordinating with other departments to keep buildings safe and welcoming for guests at Palisades Tahoe.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping/maintenance experience.
  • Electrical and/or plumbing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance around base area and all facilities and working with others on the building maintenance team.
  • Basic maintenance skills such as changing light bulbs, batteries, tightening loose fixtures.
  • Works indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Heavy labor including snow removal.
  • Performs snow removal using snowblower, shovels, and ice chipper.
  • Keeps grounds clear of litter and empties trash cans around the base area.
  • Responsible for cleaning of fixtures and areas throughout facilities, including restrooms.
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums floors throughout facilities.
  • Stocking paper goods.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the building maintenance supervisory team.

Base hourly pay range

Hourly The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range dependent upon experience and skill level: $20.50 - $35.99

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following: other duties may be assigned:

  • Performs snow removal using snowblower, shovels, and ice chipper.

  • Responsible for general cleaning of fixtures and areas throughout facilities as needed, including the cleaning of restrooms.
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums floors throughout facilities.
  • Stocking paper goods.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the building maintenance supervisory team.

Required:
  • Effective communication skills, oral & written
  • Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness
  • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards
  • Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time
  • Work well as part of a team.
Education and Experience
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous housekeeping/maintenance experience
  • Electrical and/or plumbing skills

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate. This employee will frequently be exposed to fumes, odors, dusts, ventilation

Equipment Used in Job:

Chemical cleaning agents, household cleaning products and equipment. Construction tools- hammers, saws, hand tools, etc. including snowblowers, shovels, lawnmowers
