Job summary

Palisades Tahoe is hiring for an Entry to Experienced Snowmaker to operate and maintain the snowmaking system, creating optimal man-made snow on the slopes. You will manage gun and hose setup, monitor ice and snow quality, and perform routine checks across the hill as needed.

The role requires skiing or snowboarding on varied terrain, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. Strong teamwork and safety awareness are essential, with benefits like skiing passes and employee

Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Perform general cleaning and housekeeping tasks* Responsible for checkout and return of all small tools to original locations* Report any malfunctions or needed repairs of operational problems to supervisor immediately* Must be able to operate snowmaking equipment and snowmobiles in compliance with the Palisades Tahoe safety policy**Experienced Snowmaker- Job Duties: (in addition to job responsibilities listed for Entry Snowmaker)*** Assists in training and development of entry and intermediate staff* Recommends adjustments to improve snow quality and efficiency**Competencies and Job Requirements:**Required:* Effective communication skills, oral & written* Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness* Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.* Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards* Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time* Work well as part of a team.* Required to ski or snowboard on snow and ice, and up and down hill, while carrying equipment.* Able to work with minimum supervisionPreferred:* Welding* Carpentry* Plumbing knowledge* First Aid/CPR Training**Physical Requirements:**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
