Job summary

Complete Care at Park Place in New Jersey is seeking a compassionate Recreation Aide to engage residents through scheduled activities and supportive programming. You will help implement activities, assist residents as needed, and foster a warm, family-like atmosphere in the facility.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or Equivalent, prior long-term care experience with dementia, and is energetic, creative, empathetic and a team player.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous long-term care experience and able to manage patients with Dementia.
• Energetic, creative, empathetic and a team player.
• Computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Implement scheduled programs and assist residents as needed.
• Monitor resident behavior during events and communicate to nursing as needed.
• Maintain and manage activity attendance calendars.
• Assist in preparing and displaying holiday decorations throughout the facility.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Activities and Administrator.
