Rochester Regional Health is hiring a Recreation Aide at Clifton Springs Nursing Home. This per diem role requires a BS degree and effective communication skills. Overview

Job: Recreation Aide

Department: Therapeutic Recreation

Location: Clifton Springs Nursing Home - 2 Coulter Rd, Clifton Springs NY 14432

Hours Per Week: Per Diem

Schedule: Per Diem, as needed. One weekend shift required per month

Responsibilities

• Possess the ability to develop and facilitate Therapeutic Recreation programs independently and collaboratively with the department.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to treatment plans and goals in accordance with the standards of Therapeutic Recreation.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, family, and volunteers.
• Complete required education in a timely manner.
• Ensure the safety of residents. This includes adhering to standard facility protocol.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and safe Therapeutic Recreation space. Properly document the completion of required tasks, when necessary.
• Communicate with Therapeutic Recreation coworkers and the department manager to ensure programs meet resident needs.

Qualifications

• Education: BS (Required)
• Licenses / Certifications: NYS Driver's License (valid) - New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)
• Physical Requirements: M - Medium Work; Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
