Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Warwick, RI is seeking an Activity Assistant to plan, organize and implement engagement activities for patients and residents, addressing their physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.

You will document attendance, participate in care plan meetings, and collaborate with staff to enrich lives. The role requires a high school diploma and ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Able to positively engage with staff, residents, families, visitors and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities meeting the physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of patients.
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation in programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
