Qualifications

• Qualifying degrees and credentials as listed in the minimum qualifications.
• Experience must include mental illness, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.
• At least one of the specified service delivery experiences is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide education to person(s)-served about mental illness and/or substance use disorder.
• Provide transportation for person(s)-served when medically necessary.
• Link person(s)-served with community resources and natural supports.
• Help develop interpersonal and independent living skills for clients.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Adhere to evidence-based practice models and agency standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic criteria for substance use and/or mental disorders.
• Communicate information clearly and accurately.
• Ensure compliance with CARF/DMH standards and the agency’s strategic plan.

Education

Master’s or Bachelor’s in a human services field

Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP)

AAS in Behavioral Health Support

Bachelor’s degree in non-human-services with two years’ experience

Four years of qualifying experience
