Qualifications

• Qualifying experience must include serving individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide education to person(s)-served to learn about and manage mental illness and/or substance use disorder.
• Link person(s)-served with community resources and help them develop natural supports.
• Help person(s)-served develop interpersonal, social, family, community and independent living skills.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Adhere to evidence-based practice models.
• Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic criteria for substance use and/or mental disorders.
• Communicate information clearly and accurately.
• Ensure program operates within certification standards and strategic plan.

Education

Master's or Bachelor's degree in a human services field

Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP)

A.S. in Behavioral Health Support

Bachelor's degree unrelated to human services with 2+ years qualifying experience
