Job summary

Sirona Recovery in Wisconsin is hiring a Certified Peer Support Specialist who will leverage lived experience to help clients overcome barriers to recovery within Dodge County treatment programs.

You will provide emotional support, navigation to community resources, and collaboration with clinical staff to promote recovery goals, housing, transportation, and employment readiness while attending appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of best practices in peer support and recovery services.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical boundaries.
• Experience navigating community resources and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OTC, CCS, and Dodge County staff to deliver interventions to promote recovery aligned with best practices
• Provide emotional support, compassionate listening, and community resource navigation
• Assist with issues related to housing, transportation, developing a social network, crisis support, personal and system advocacy, education, and employment
• Develop and follow WRAP plans and recovery-focused goals
• Support clients’ self-advocacy and attend mental health and other provider appointments as needed
• Prepare for and attend service plan meetings
• Complete documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Empower clients through strength-based interactions and support
• Help court-involved clients build skills, confidence, and structure to successfully manage legal responsibilities and move toward recovery goals
• Collaborate with case managers & legal partners (within confidentiality guidelines) to promote client stability, engagement, and successful outcomes
• Encourage connection with natural supports and community involvement to work towards recovery goals
• Engage in outreach, marketing, and education to promote program participation
• Other duties as assigned that are consistent with the role of a Certified Peer Support Specialist
