Graceworks Lutheran Services is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to assist peers in their recovery journey using lived experience. You will work under supervision, obtaining Wisconsin certification within six months and maintaining documentation in AWARDS and related systems.

The role requires driving for community outreach, flexible hours, and collaboration with the DOC/Fond du Lac initiatives. Excellent communication and crisis support skills are essential.

Formación

• Must be Wisconsin Peer Support Specialist certified or able to obtain certification within 6 months.
• One to two years of peer support experience preferred.
• Must have lived experience with substance use or mental health disorders and related community resources.
• Must pass background checks (WCS and DOC) and driving record checks.
• Must have valid driver's license and meet vehicle requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Provide certified peer support services to peers on their caseload.
• Maintain accurate AWARDS documentation and related reports.
• Link peers to available mental health, substance use, and community supports.
• Promote recovery and autonomy by empowering peers to participate in decisions.
• Drive as needed for community outreach and program activities.
• Attend team meetings and complete required training and paperwork.
