Job summary

Chestnut Health Systems Inc. is seeking a part-time Client Care Technician/Specialist to provide recovery-focused, trauma-informed support in a Men’s Residential Unit. The role includes guiding clients, facilitating activities, assisting with meals, and observing medications under safety protocols.

The position requires a 21+ age, a high school diploma or higher, and valid driver’s license with insurance. Part-time schedule Fridays and Saturdays 7:00am–3:30pm with shift differential for evenings

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or total of 5 years’ experience and college combined.
• Various certifications may be required depending on experience level.
• Personal recovery experience and willingness to discuss it as appropriate.
• Demonstrated skills in human services and in services to adults.
• Demonstrated ability to work within organizational structure.
• Ability to accept supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to work constructively with consumers, treatment resources, and the community.
• Valid driver’s license, private auto insurance, and be insurable.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

• Guide the Recovery Journey by observing progress and reporting on personal goals.
• Promote empowerment through a recovery-first mindset and trauma-informed care.
• Lead daily activities with the clinical team and keep the daily routine on track.
• Assist with meal preparation and observe medication administration when nursing staff aren’t available.
• Welcome new clients, orient them to program rules, and assist with intake processes.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and activities.
• Act as a backup for Residential Recovery staff to ensure consistent support.
• Monitor facility safety, document logs and incident reports, and ensure smooth shift hand-offs.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
