Job summary

Qualifications

• Lived experience related to CHS clients is required.
• Certification as a Peer Support Specialist preferred but not required.
• Act 34, Act 33, and FBI fingerprint clearances required on hire.
• Comprehensive Crisis Management and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist program participants in developing skills, confidence, and relationships as they resume independent living.
• Facilitate groups in an open and welcoming environment.
• Provide direct peer counseling based on lived experiences.
• Help participants understand and employ recovery strategies.
• Complete required written documentation, incident reports, progress notes, and logs in a timely manner.
• Enter data into agency databases and reporting sites on time.
• Maintain health and safety standards and a welcoming office atmosphere.
• Attend required trainings and a minimum of 15 hours of professional development per year.
