Job summary

Gándara Center in Chicopee, MA is seeking a Recovery Specialist I to join a Part-time team in our Substance Use Disorder residential program. You will actively support residents, promote safety, and assist during crises while coordinating with the care team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred Associate’s/Bachelor’s in a human services field and at least 1 year of related experience. An automobile for transport is preferred. EOE/AA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor's in human service field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with psychiatric clients preferred.
• Must have automobile to transport clients or provide services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain direct supportive contact with residents to assess needs.
• Transport clients to appointments as needed.
• Acquire and maintain necessary certifications mandated by the agency.
• Develop strong, supportive relationships ensuring safety and care.
• Collaborate with medical, MAT, psychiatric, and behavioral teams.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in human service field preferred
