Job summary

Gandara Center in South Hadley, MA seeks a Recovery Specialist to join our Substance Use Disorder residential program. This role supports clients on a 3rd shift schedule; both part-time and full-time options are available, with emphasis on advocacy, safety, and crisis handling within the milieu.

Responsibilities include direct resident contact, transportation to appointments, pursuing required certifications, and coordinating care with medical, MAT, psychiatric, and behavioral teams to maintain

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in human services preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience with psychiatric clients preferred.
• Must have automobile to transport clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain direct supportive contact with residents and assess needs.
• Transport clients to appointments as needed.
• Acquire and maintain required certifications per agency standards.
• Develop supportive relationships ensuring safety and care.
• Collaborate with medical, MAT, psychiatric and behavioral teams.
