Job summary

Gandara Center in Ludlow, MA is hiring a Recovery Specialist to work on a relief basis within its Substance Use Disorder residential program. You will promote Gandara’s philosophy, advocate for clients, and ensure safety both on-site and off-site, coordinating with supervisors for crises or incidents.

Responsibilities include direct client contact, transporting clients to appointments, maintaining certifications, and collaborating with medical, MAT, and psychiatric teams to meet needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in human service field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with psychiatric clients preferred.
• Must have availability of an automobile to transport clients or perform other supportive services as necessary.
• Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)

Responsibilities

• Maintain direct supportive contact with residents to continually assess their individual needs.
• To transport clients to appointments as needed.
• Acquire and maintain necessary certifications mandated by the Agency and licensing standards.
• Develop strong, supportive relationships with clients, providing for their safety and care.
• Collaborate with other departments in settings where care must be coordinated between medical, MAT, and psychiatric and behavioral needs.
