Job summary

Area Substance Abuse Council in Clinton, IA is seeking a Recovery Support Professional to empower individuals on their path to sobriety. You will work with a collaborative team to deliver evidence-based interventions and support patients on their treatment journey.

The role includes supervising patients outside of treatment, documenting observations, leading skill development sessions, handling medication storage, and transporting patients to appointments.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
• Education in human services preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work at least one weekend day per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for patients outside of treatment sessions.
• Document observations and maintain patient case files.
• Lead skill development and educational sessions.
• Manage medication storage and monitor administration.
• Conduct urinalyses per agency policies.
• Engage patients in on-site activities and transport as needed.
• Provide transportation to meetings and medical treatments.
• Assist with cleanliness and organization of the facility.
• Monitor building security and maintain key control.
• Uphold HIPAA and 42 CFR confidentiality.
