• Willingness to share personal experiences as it relates to recovery.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to reflect optimism of an inmate's ability to enter recovery and sustain recovery.
• Ability to engage difficult to reach individuals.
• Ability to identify an inmate's stage of change.
• Demonstration of ethical responsibility, boundaries, and confidentiality as a PRS.
• Ability to support all pathways in recovery.
• Experience with PRS documentation including utilization of recovery language.

Aufgaben

• The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) provides evidence-based recovery-oriented peer support to adult male participants in the Aftercare Program and the RSAT program at Green Rock Correctional Center.
• Promotes engagement, recovery capital, personal responsibility, and continuity of care.
• Supports individuals during treatment, transition from residential programming to the general population, and connection to community-based recovery and health services upon release.
