Job summary

Kids for the Future in Bartlesville, OK seeks a CPRSS to mentor recovery, teach coping strategies, and help clients articulate personal recovery goals. The role requires a High School Diploma and recovery from a behavioral health or substance use disorder, with one year of advocacy experience preferred.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Oklahoma. Responsibilities include facilitating wellness activities, attending treatment team meetings, and promoting self-directed recovery

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be in recovery from a behavioral health and/or substance use disorder or nicotine recovery.
• One year of experience in local or national consumer advocacy or knowledge in mental health recovery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor the value of every individual’s recovery experience.
• Model effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
• Assist service recipients in articulating personal goals for recovery.
• Assist service recipients in determining objectives needed to reach recovery goals.
• Proactively engage consumers and transfer new concepts and insight to others.
• Assist in setting up and sustaining self-help groups and WRAP planning.
• Support consumers in using a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).
• Facilitate wellness activities, groups and individual sessions to promote healthy living.
