Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Recovery Support Technician is responsible for transporting program participants to and from various locations as needed. These services may include transport to and from court, doctor’s appointments, program activities, treatment, and any other services deemed appropriate by staff. The Recovery Support Technician may also be asked to cover duties inside the Recovery Community Center, such as helping to set up events and monitoring day‑to‑day operations if needed. The primary responsibility is to provide a safe and secure ride for all participants. Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license with good driving record, background check, driver record check, and minimum of one year of sobriety.

What You Should Have for This Role

• Drive participants to and from meetings, groups, and appointments as needed.
• Maintain operational control of the facility in the absence of senior staff.
• Ensure client compliance with Volunteers of America policies and rules.
• Monitor clients in van and facility and their behavior.
• Complete required documentation.
• Attend training and supervision.
• Observe and report maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Provide transportation for clients.
• Perform Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) duties as assigned by supervision & PQI Committee.
