Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a CPRSS to provide recovery-oriented support and mentorship to individuals in recovery. The role involves teaching coping strategies, facilitating wellness planning, and assisting clients in articulating and achieving personal recovery goals.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and being in recovery from a behavioral health or substance use disorder. Travel and collaboration with staff are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Candidate must be in recovery from a behavioral health and/or substance abuse disorder or nicotine recovery.

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor the value of every individual’s recovery experience.
• Model effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
• Assist service recipients in articulating personal goals for recovery.
• Assist in determining objectives needed to reach recovery goals.
• Attend treatment team meetings and promote consumer voice in planning.
