Job summary

University Federal Credit Union is seeking a Recovery Manager to lead UFCU’s charged-off loan recovery program and optimize outcomes through data-informed experimentation. You will oversee third-party agencies, manage vendor performance, and refine recovery strategies in collaboration with the Director of Collections.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in collections, recovery, charged-off loan servicing, or related financial services role.

Responsibilities

• Lead recovery of charged-off loan balances through assignment, monitoring, reconciliation, and performance management of recovery inventories.
• Develop recovery strategies with the Director of Collections using performance data and stakeholder feedback.
• Prepare transparent recovery performance reporting for leadership and partners.
• Manage third-party recovery agencies and legal firms, including due diligence and vendor oversight.
• Perform quarterly reviews of agency performance and annual audits of operational capabilities.
