Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) in Center Township, PA is hiring a full-time Recovery Specialist for our Withdrawal Management unit. You will provide peer-based support, resource navigation, and help patients identify strengths to pursue recovery.

You bring lived recovery experience, strong communication, and the ability to maintain boundaries. This role emphasizes dignity, collaboration with a treatment team, and building skills for lasting wellness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of addiction and recovery helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and opportunities for individuals in recovery to direct their own recovery and advocacy.
• Establish supportive relationships with patients that demonstrate dignity, respect, professionalism, and appropriate boundaries.
• Teach and support the development of skills that facilitate successful recovery.
• Promote awareness of available services, treatment options, and community supports.
• Assist patients in accessing resources through referrals to agencies, community programs, and support services.
• Encourage the development of wellness, self-worth, and recognition of personal strengths.
• Support patients in identifying recovery goals and actively participating in their recovery process.
• Document patient interactions and progress in the electronic medical record within required timeframes.
• Participate in individual and group supervision sessions.
• Provide support and encouragement throughout the recovery journey.
