Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services in Greater Boston is seeking a Recovery Specialist to provide direct support to individuals seeking recovery from Substance Use Disorders and to collaborate with the team on daily program operations.

The role requires promoting wellness, facilitating activities, conducting wellness checks, and documenting care per agency policies. This is a non-exempt, weekend-evening shift, emphasizing dignity, confidentiality, and compassionate, trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months experience in health and human services preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends on a scheduled basis, and as-needed with notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive care to meet individuals’ needs and promote a welcoming, dignified environment.
• Conduct searches of belongings using trauma-informed practices on admission, discharge, and as directed.
• Observe wellbeing, perform wellness checks, and document changes per agency protocol.
