Job summary

High Point & Affiliated Organizations in New Bedford is seeking a Recovery Specialist for the Women's Addiction Treatment Center. This per diem role offers evening or overnight shifts (3pm-11:30pm or 11pm-7:30am) with a pay range of $21–$26 per hour and a benefits package.

You will document admissions, facilitate and record group discussions, monitor clients, and maintain a safe, respectful unit. A high school diploma or GED is required; knowledge of substance use disorders is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of substance use disorders & mental health conditions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and boundaries.
• Experience documenting client interactions and group activities.

Responsibilities

• Complete client admission documentation.
• Document group discussions and activities.
• Monitor clients and ensure a therapeutic, safe environment.
• Escort patients to meals and breaks.
• Perform hourly patient checks with proper documentation.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.

Recovery Specialist Duties & Responsibilities

• Applicants should have knowledge of substance use disorders & mental health conditions

• Complete property searches, monitor clients while maintaining a therapeutic, safe, & calm unit
• Observation & accounting of patients at all times insuring while safety (hourly checks w/ documentation)
• Escorting patients to meals & fresh air breaks
• Attends required meetings & mandatory trainings

Recovery Specialist Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent GED
