Job summary

Mental Health Partnerships in Philadelphia is hiring a Recovery Learning Specialist to facilitate recovery groups, develop curricula, and support participants in building skills for self-sufficiency through WRAP and related topics.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 2 years of related work experience, a valid drivers license, and comfort with EHRs; we value empathy, collaboration, and strong communication as you link clients with natural supports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of related work experience.
• Credentialed as a Certified Peer Specialist is a plus; if your program is in Delaware, credentialed as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist is required within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess a valid drivers license.
• Must possess basic computer skills including EHR systems and email.
• Strong communication, cultural competence, interpersonal skills, teamwork, attention to detail, and customer service.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude.
• Certified or has the ability to be certified in First Aid/CPR.
• If program has a kitchen, obtain a Food Safety Certificate within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Creates and facilitates group curriculum and lesson plans for recovery skills and whole health.
• Organizes participants into groups and encourages mutual support.
• Identifies and accesses community resources to build natural supports.
• Supports development of participant recovery plans and coordinates resources to support self-sufficiency.
• Documents intake information and progress in electronic health records; maintains required logs and reports.
• Performs other duties to fulfill MHP's mission.
