Job summary

ProSolar seeks a Collection & Risk Mitigation Specialist to support recovering losses and reducing legal exposure in Puerto Rico. You will review transactions, prepare evidence, and coordinate with legal counsel to pursue recovery actions, including litigation when warranted.

Experience in collections, civil litigation support, or risk management is preferred. The role emphasizes detailed case documentation, collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Operations, and maintaining organized records

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in collections, law firm, or civil litigation support.
• Experience reviewing financial records, contracts, transactions, or supporting documentation.
• Familiarity with collection procedures, payment disputes, and recovery of balances.
• Strong investigative, analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and prepare clear, evidence-based summaries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and electronic document management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize deadlines, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue opportunities to recover funds from outstanding balances.
• Review records to determine amounts owed and support recovery efforts.
• Coordinate collection activities, follow-ups, and demand letters.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external collection agencies.
• Maintain records of amounts claimed, recovered, and case status.
• Escalate unresolved matters for legal review.
• Investigate questionable sales activities and potential violations.
• Identify discrepancies and gather supporting evidence.
• Prepare summaries, timelines, and documentation for potential losses.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Accounting, and Operations to verify facts.
• Suggest process improvements to reduce losses and risk.
• Prepare case files for Puerto Rico counsel and potential litigation.
• Coordinate with legal counsel on strategies and letters.
• Track deadlines and information requests.
• Support pre-litigation activities with accurate records and documentation.
• Ensure strategies are coordinated with counsel.
• Coordinate with risk management and insurance contacts for incidents needing review.
• Gather documents for insurance claims and track status.
• Maintain an organized tracking system for matters and outcomes.
• Prepare periodic reports on outstanding cases and exposure.
• Document all collection and risk mitigation activities consistently.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
