Job summary

WellSpace Health in Sacramento is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide peer-to-peer guidance to individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges. You will draw on your lived experience to model recovery, empower clients, and connect them with community resources, both in person and via telehealth.

As part of the Health Center team, you will collaborate with clinicians and staff to support recovery goals, maintain strict confidentiality, and advocate for client

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Support Specialist with lived experience.
• Understanding of recovery-oriented practices and principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support one-on-one in person or via telehealth.
• Assist clients in navigating mental health and recovery services.
• Build trusting relationships and ensure physical and emotional safety.
• Advocate for recovery-oriented services and connect clients to resources.
• Document interactions and maintain confidentiality within 24 hours.
