Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Recovery Peer Specialist to join a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals with substance use disorders. The role focuses on promoting recovery, reducing barriers, and linking clients to community resources, detox, residential, CSU, and MAT services.

You will document services, participate in care planning, and maintain timely records while fostering a compassionate, recovery-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Computer literacy required.
• Certified Recovery Peer Specialist; if not certified at hire, must pursue certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Maintains professional relationships with all persons served and supports person-centered, recovery-oriented care.
• Assists persons served in removing personal and environmental obstacles to recovery by assessing needs and connecting to services.
• Utilizes the GPRA tool to collect and report services data at intake, follow-up, and discharge.
• Conducts in-person support groups and coordinates linkage to MAT clinic and residential services; conducts outreach.
• Provides motivation and follow-up to encourage participation in MAT, OP, and aftercare appointments.
• Links individuals to the Recovery Community through knowledge and contacts; builds trusting, collaborative relationships.
