Job summary

A Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) at Aging True provides peer support and consumer advocacy to Florida Self-Directed Care participants 18+. The CRPS models recovery and supports individuals to regain control of their lives, maintaining stability in recovery from mental health or substance use challenges.

This on-site role requires travel across the community and ongoing certification compliance. Candidates must complete approved CRPS training, pass the certification exam within 6

Qualifications

Requires completion of a Florida DCF/FL Certification Board peer specialist training
Must pass Florida Certification Board cert. exam within 6 months
Must maintain 10 hours of continuing education annually
Must meet background check and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

Provide Recovery Education across the recovery journey
Assist peers to assess strengths and LAP planning
Facilitate community integration and recovery goal setting
Promote self-advocacy and link peers to resources
Engage in outreach and client-centered support
Maintain documentation and progress notes
