Job summary

Alternative Community Resource Program, Inc seeks a Certified Peer Specialist to support adults and youth in recovery. Working under the CPS Program Director and Supervisors, you will provide 1-on-1, recovery-oriented services in homes and communities to help clients achieve recovery and social integration.

You will participate on a recovery-treatment team, deliver education, build natural supports, and assist with goal setting and linkage to services.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a personal belief in recovery.
• Ability to share recovery experiences appropriately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to engage diverse peers in homes and communities.
• Must possess computer skills and boundary setting.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of a recovery-treatment team.
• Provide recovery education to consumers, family members, and staff.
• Act as a community liaison to build relationships with service agencies.
• Provide outreach to engage consumers with support organizations.
• Assist clients in developing recovery-based goals and planning.
• Facilitate community integration and use of natural supports.
• Promote self-advocacy and skill-building activities.
• Coordinate linkage to treatment services.
