Job summary

Mccallcenterct is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist in Danbury, Connecticut. This role involves providing support to individuals with substance use disorders and navigating community resources. The specialist will engage with law enforcement and community partners, conduct recovery coaching, and organize outreach events.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience with substance use or mental health, and a valid driver's license is required. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance and a 403(b) retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience with substance use disorders and/or mental health required.
• Experience working with law enforcement or first responders is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned case management activities to assist in achieving desired outcomes.
• Provide recovery coaching and conduct overdose follow-ups as part of the CLEAR outreach program.
• Develop relationships with referral sources and community partners.
• Maintain connections with individuals identified through the CLEAR program as needing services.
• Conduct a minimum of 20 case contacts per week.
• Plan and provide community engagement activities, including awareness events and trainings.
