Job summary

T.I.M.E. Organization Inc. seeks a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to provide recovery-oriented support to individuals with co-occurring disorders. You will mentor, advocate, and engage participants to promote stability and sustained recovery.

You'll collaborate with clinical, nursing, housing, and case management teams, supporting care across 3.5, 3.1, PHP, IOP, and OP levels while maintaining professional boundaries and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Current CPRS certification or state-recognized credential.
• Recovery time as defined by certifying body.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of dual diagnosis recovery principles.
• Familiarity with local community resources and social service systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer support to participants with co-occurring disorders.
• Share lived recovery experience to inspire hope and model recovery principles.
• Assist participants in identifying strengths, recovery goals, and coping strategies.
• Support development and implementation of individualized recovery plans.
• Encourage consistent participation in treatment services across care levels (3.5–OP).
• Assist participants in understanding connections between mental health symptoms and substance use.
• Reinforce coping strategies learned in therapy.
• Support medication adherence conversations with clinical staff.
• Observe and report behavioral changes or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Provide structured daily recovery support in residential settings (3.5/3.1).
• Advocate for participants within interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
• Collaborate with counselors, psychiatrists, nurses, housing staff, and case managers.
