ADP, Inc. is seeking Wellness Advocates who partner with hospital staff to screen patients involved with substance use and offer brief intervention and referral to treatment as needed.

The role requires engaging patients, tracking outcomes in databases, and maintaining professional hospital relationships. Travel to multiple sites and ongoing training are expected, with a focus on recovery principles and resource education.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required with 2-3 years relevant work/life experience.
• Active engagement in a recovery process or program and ability to articulate practices and accountability structures used to sustain recovery.
• Maintain recovery-oriented conduct and sustained abstinence from substances.
• Three consecutive years of continuous recovery.
• Strong knowledge of recovery principles and related training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with hospital team to receive referrals for patients with substance use.
• Conduct confidential face-to-face BNIs to screen for substance use and provide resources.
• Discuss change processes, uncover barriers, and develop a plan with the patient.
• Educate on resources addressing identified needs.
• Advise and assist patients in connecting with outside agencies and funding resources.
• Track encounters in multiple databases and maintain professional relationships with staff.
