Job summary

Volunteers of America Southeast, Inc seeks a dedicated Substance Use Disorder Counselor in Cuthbert, GA to provide counseling, education, and case management within a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes evidence-based practices and strong client support for recovery.

The position offers full-time hours, with standard Monday–Friday schedules, and requires a bachelor’s degree with CAC I/II or an equivalent qualification, plus three years of relevant experience and a valid GA driver’s

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher with CAC I/II or equivalent certification.
Three years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Valid Georgia driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

Conduct screenings, intakes, and orientations.
Provide and document individual and group education sessions.
Deliver case management and clinical documentation in a timely, accurate manner.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
Utilize evidence-based approaches such as CBT and 12-Step facilitation in treatment.
Connect clients with community resources and ongoing supports.
