Job summary

Telecare Lagos Crisis Residential Facility in Riverside, CA is seeking a Full-Time Peer Support Specialist to engage with adults and assist in recovery goals. The role emphasizes peer-led support within a recovery-centered system and requires strong de-escalation skills for crisis situations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• California: CalMHSA Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification required.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the Behavioral Health system of care.
• 1-2 years in working with clients with psychiatric challenges.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance in your name.
• Willingness to use the company vehicle to transport clients.

Responsibilities

• Engage, inspire, and facilitate conversations to support recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to promote Telecare’s RCCS Recovery Culture.
• Respond to critical situations with de-escalation to maintain a least restrictive environment.
